WATERTOWN — The Watertown Red & Black launched their 2025 season with a commanding 49–0 victory over the Rochester Colonials on Saturday night at Alex Duffy Fairgrounds. The Red & Black surged to a 35–0 lead by halftime, showcasing a potent offense and a stifling defense that left Rochester scoreless throughout the game.

This decisive win sets a strong tone for the Red & Black as they embark on their campaign in the Northeastern Football Alliance’s AA division. With a blend of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, the team demonstrated cohesive teamwork and strategic execution on both sides of the ball.

Head Coach George Ashcraft praised his team’s performance, noting the effective preparation and execution that led to the shutout. The Red & Black will look to build on this momentum as they continue their pursuit of excellence in the league. Their next challenge awaits on June 7, when they face the Geneseo Spartans on the road.
