Supporters of congressional candidate Anthony Constantino rally online and in communities across NY-21 as the campaign’s petition drive gains attention.
Businessman Anthony Constantino has won the Republican primary for New York’s 21st Congressional District, defeating Assemblyman Robert Smullen and advancing to the general election.
The race attracted significant attention across the North Country, with Constantino campaigning as a MAGA candidate and emphasizing support for President Donald Trump’s agenda. Supporters frequently described his message as one focused on economic growth, manufacturing, energy development, and what many have referred to as a new American “Golden Age.”
The Watertown Post previously endorsed Constantino during the primary campaign. With the primary now concluded, voters have delivered their decision, sending Constantino forward as the Republican nominee for NY-21.
The result marks one of the most closely watched political contests in Northern New York this year and sets the stage for a competitive general election campaign in the months ahead.
