Trump Throws Support Behind Anthony Constantino
President Donald J. Trump has officially endorsed businessman Anthony Constantino in the Republican primary battle for New York’s 21st Congressional District, adding major fuel to one of the most watched races in upstate New York.
Constantino, the CEO of Sticker Mule and a longtime outspoken Trump supporter, is seeking the Republican nomination for the seat being vacated by Elise Stefanik, who announced she will not seek re-election.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump called Constantino an “America First Patriot” and praised his loyalty and public support, referencing the now-famous giant Trump sign installed at Constantino’s company headquarters in the Albany region.
“It is my Great Honor to endorse America First Patriot, Anthony Constantino,” Trump wrote, adding that Constantino is backed by “many of the most Highly Respected MAGA Warriors” and highlighting support from Rudy Giuliani and Roger Stone.
The endorsement instantly reshapes the Republican primary, where Constantino is facing Assemblyman Robert Smullen, who has received backing from the New York Republican Party and the Conservative Party. Smullen has emphasized his legislative record and alignment with Trump-era policies, while Constantino has leaned heavily into direct Trump-brand politics and grassroots visibility.
Constantino has made headlines throughout the race for his aggressive campaign style, self-funding efforts, and unapologetically pro-Trump messaging. He has said he plans to fully self-fund his run, arguing that doing so keeps him free from donor influence and party pressure.
The NY-21 district covers a massive stretch of northern and upstate New York, including much of the North Country, the Adirondacks, the Thousand Islands region, and parts of the Mohawk Valley and Capital Region. It has long leaned Republican and is considered one of the GOP’s strongest congressional strongholds in the state.
For voters across Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Franklin, and surrounding counties, Trump’s endorsement could become the defining factor in the Republican primary.
Because in modern Republican politics, let’s be honest, a Trump endorsement isn’t just support—it’s basically political rocket fuel with a side of fireworks.
The June primary is expected to be one of the most closely watched races in New York, with both candidates now fighting for the right to inherit one of the state’s most reliably Republican congressional seats.
