The Army’s October 28 announcement says evaluators considered 12 areas, including mission support, quality of life, property management, safety and communications. The regional recognition is a step in the separate Commander in Chief’s Installation Excellence Award competition. It does not establish that Fort Drum has already won that Army-wide award.
